Okay, now some FAQ:
What if I don’t like my photos or how they’re edited?
That would be my personal nightmare! But, IF this ever occurred, you’re entitled to a 50% refund, or a reshoot if you’d prefer. I will always fix an image if it’s too light/dark/etc for you! Please reach out if you want any tweaks! 🙂
Do you photoshop your clients?
I use Photoshop software, but I do not manipulate the natural state of my clients. The only retouching that I do to images is basic image enhancements such as removing a distracting element (pole, tag, stain), color grading, and may do minimal blemish removals when appropriate (bruise, food in teeth, scab).
Can I book you for a retreat/party type event where there are multiple guests!?
This is my absolute dream to be a part of events where I can work with multiple clients! PLEASE hire me for this, yessss! 🙂 I’ll even travel to you if you pay for my travel arrangements 😉
What is required in order for me to book a shoot with you?!
Contact me first so we can chat some details and all that! After that, I require a signed contract and a 50% deposit to be “on the books.” Event photography does not require a deposit.
Event photography is billed by the hour. Any time extending into a new hour, will be charged the full hour. I make sure to communicate before the end of the hour approaches in order to ensure my client has a chance to terminate before a new hour begins.
What is your cancellation policy?
I require 50% session deposit to book sessions. This deposit is retained if a same-day cancellation/no-show takes place. I do not charge or have a cancellation policy for events.
Can I have RAW files?
I shoot my work in a file type that needs to be converted in order to be used on web platforms, so files need to be “edited” somewhat regardless. Beyond that; fun fact! clients purchasing a session, does not mean they own the copyright to the images, so personal editing of files is prohibited by law.
How will I receive my images?
All FINAL (edited) image files will be sent electronically via email using a Google Drive folder. This allows clients to download the images they would like to post on social media, or get printed.
When is the best time to book?
Reach out to me as soon as you’re interested, of course, but I would say that you don’t need to book longer than a month in advance for most sessions. Curated sessions of course require more 1-on-1 attention, so my recommendation is at least 6 months in advance depending on the extent of the curation process.
